Brown Rudnick Announces Innovative 1L Fellowship Program
NEW YORK – December 13, 2017 – International law firm Brown Rudnick today announced the creation of the Brown Rudnick 1L Social Mobility Diversity Fellowship. The Fellowship is a groundbreaking program aimed at first year law students, who are also the first in their family to graduate college. The Fellowship, unlike any other law firm-sponsored honors program, provides the opportunity for a substantive work and professional development experience and a significant scholarship.
Social Mobility Diversity Fellows will spend their post-1L summer in Brown Rudnick’s Boston or New York offices working on a wide variety of matters as an integral member of client teams. Fellows will also be eligible to receive a scholarship of up to $22,500, in addition to their summer associate compensation. Fellows will be invited to firm events, lectures, and trainings throughout their law school career and will receive individualized coaching from professional development experts.
"At Brown Rudnick, ingenuity wins and our attorneys have the experience and insight necessary to provide excellent client service in the most challenging and novel environments" said CEO Joseph F. Ryan. "The Social Mobility Diversity Fellowship provides the necessary early training and opportunities our selected law students will need to excel in this fast-paced environment." First-year law students can find more information about the 1L Social Mobility Diversity Fellowship here. Questions should be referred to Molly Childs, Manager of Legal Recruitment.
